Coaches Wanted

We are always looking for new coaches to support and lead our St Isidore CYO athletes. If you are interested in helping out in any of our CYO sports please contact Joe Drelling, CYO Athletic Director at coachjoedrelling@gmail.com

The Technology Addendum can now be completed online.   The review material is posted on the Office for Child and Youth Protection website:   www.childyouthprotection.org.  Click on the “Staff and Volunteers” tab at the top of the webpage, then “Required Training” on the drop down menu.  Scroll to the bottom of this page and follow the instructions.

Also, the Mandated Reporter training is available on the same website.  Click on Training Institute and follow the instructions.

For anyone interested in coaching all coaches or anyone thinking about coaching needs to be aware of and have completed the requirements as outlined by the State of PA and the Archdiocese. Below are links to documents that outlines all that is needed from those groups. Please keep in mind that both criminal background & child abuse clearances need to be renewed every 5 years & that it is currently taking about 4-5 weeks to get them back from the state. If you are due, you need to file the paperwork now.

As you know, we do truly appreciate you stepping up to volunteer and coach the youth of our Parish, but please understand that without all the requirements & clearances in place in the Parish Office you will not be able to coach until they are all completed. There can be no exceptions.

In addition to the requirements/clearances outlined in the attachment, all coaches need to take a coaches orientation course by the beginning of their second year of coaching

Lastly we will all need to complete a Concussion and Cardiac Awareness forms. The concussion & cardiac awareness forms will be disbursed at a pre-season of each season.

Again, we do appreciate your volunteering with our Youth & look forward to a great season again this year. Let me know if you have any questions.

All registrants for a sport must read ALL the rules in the Parent Handbook  prior to registration.
Thank you
